Since we live near the ocean, we get the chance to see sea birds. Or at least birds that live by the shoreline. Here are a few I've photographed. As I am not a bird-spotter, I don't know what they are (except the seagulls and pelicans).

Fallow Ground
I haven't kept up this blog. Sorry. I have been whaling, biking, and bird watching, but the birds got short shrift. I'll try to be more frequent after our vacation.
Here's a movie for you, celebrating the return of the hawk family to our yard. In it, you will see a baby hawk with a kill, trying desperately to cling to the branch, hide his breakfast, and eat it, all with two (overworked) claws. It's only 2 minutes 2 seconds - go on, take a look:
